Our Area of Practice:
Loss Mitigation and Short Sale Services

Compliance Counsel is a law practice with combined experience of more than twenty five years in the mortgage banking industry.  Our lead attorney, Ms. Dena Roudybush, served as former General Counsel for a national mortgage servicing company and developed and managed the loss mitigation department for the servicing of a multi-billion dollar mortgage loan portfolio.  She regularly advises banks, mortgage companies and credit unions on federal regulatory compliance matters and brings her experience to Compliance Counsel to negotiate loan modifications and short sale transactions for homeowners who are no longer able to make their mortgage payments or are facing foreclosures.  Our firm represents clients throughout the entire negotiation process and will develop an exit strategy that is in the best interest of the client and meets the client’s individual needs.

We understand that there are many reasons why homeowners are unable to pay their mortgage and every situation is unique. That is why we take the time to meet personally with all of our clients to explain the options available to regain control of their mortgage situation and avoid losing their homes.

You want to remain in your home, but you need an affordable monthly mortgage payment to be able to do so. Or, you want to sell your home but you are unable to because you owe more to the lender than its current value. This is where we can help. We know the system and we know the lenders.  We work with bankruptcy attorneys, foreclosure attorneys, real estate agents, and have developed relationships with local banks and mortgage lenders to assist their borrowers to avoid foreclosure.

During your initial consultation we help you determine if you can keep your house or, if you have to sell your home, to avoid foreclosure. Although the negative effect of foreclosure is widespread, it remains a silent storm. People facing foreclosure simply do not talk about it. This silence keeps borrowers from finding solutions or sources of help. Most homeowners have no one to provide them with assistance in remedying their delinquent situation – they are simply unfamiliar with the rights or options they have available to them. We offer solutions and represent all clients zealously and aggressively.

If you are currently behind on your mortgage payments – or foresee that you will soon be unable to continue making payments understand that you do have options.  When you retain our firm you will be assigned a Case Manager that will work with your throughout the entire transaction.  Your attorney will manage your case from beginning to end and is always available to respond to your concerns.  We believe our experience, credibility, relationships, and recognition in the lending community is what makes our firm superior in providing loss mitigation services.  More importantly, we believe in what we do and are committed to helping homeowners keep their homes.
